Kilkeel is the “Seafood Capital of the Mountains of Mourne”. The Mourne Seafood Cookery School is a state of art cookery school located in the Nautilus Centre, with panoramic views of Kilkeel harbour.

You will find the freshest fish and seafood at the home of Northern Ireland’s largest fishing fleet. For those seafood lovers this is an ideal way to learn more about what to look for when buying, handling and cooking seafood. It is aimed to be a fun, relaxed, learning experience.

The Cookery School is located in the Nautilus Centre, overlooking Kilkeel Harbour and you will learn about how fish is caught, filleted, handled and cooked. The classes are designed for both the beginner and the food enthusiast. Lift and Stair Access available.

Seafood cookery demonstrations start from £15.00 for 10-14 people and £10.00 for 15-23 people. The next seafood cookery demonstration will be held as part of our annual Harvestfest on Thursday the 28th of October. Seafood cookery classes are available half day £50 and full day £95 including lunch.
